Adopt An Animal Ambassador at the VNC

Over the past few years the live animals living in the VNC exhibit hall have grown
to include quite a few species. They include animals such as reptiles, amphibians,
fish, and arachnids. While we do not keep any fuzzy or feathery friends, the
animals living with us are wonderful ambassadors of the animal world in the Valley.
And it is a huge responsibility for VNC staff and volunteers to make sure they are
kept properly and getting the excellent care they need and deserve.

Why do we keep them?
The animals living at the VNC help us show everyone just what lives in the Valley.
If we don't appreciate our own backyard creatures, why would we save their
habitats? Students holding a Mexican Milksnake will not forget the experience too
soon! Having a Texas Tortoise eating nopales (cactus) will instill native plants'
importance. These animals help their brethrens in the wild secure a future.

Can you help?
We'd love for you to adopt one of these guys and help feed and care for them!
It's easy and would help the VNC free up funds for education programs. Can you
please adopt one, helping to pay for food and supplies? They will love you for it!

Yearly Levels – adopt an animal for one year:

$100 – Receive a Certificate in your name, listed as the "Caretaker" at the Center, an animal fact sheet, a photo of the animal, plus an adoption sticker

$200 – Receive a Certificate in your name, listed as the "Caretaker" at the Center, an animal fact sheet, a photo of the animal, an adoption sticker, plus the chance to have your photo taken while helping to feed "your" animal
